I went to the Rutgers / USF game on Thursday night and it was an extraordinary experience!! Most of you know that I’m not much of a sports fan… but my brother Lawrence has season tickets so we went as a family… my Dad, my Uncle, and my brother Elias, who is now a Freshman at Rutgers.
talk about going to the right game… there is no way for me to describe the energy in the air. …with almost every Rutgers student at the game!! Over 42,000 in attendance… Here is some video that I took of the fans storming the field once they beat USF (#2 in the nation before the game).

I wonder if we even had a 1,200 person audience for the football games at URI? one of my very few memories of URI football was hearing some cheers from the stadium while tailgating on the fields, and more often than not those sounds were meant for the opponent.
no complaints here, we had a ridiculous campus life up in RI, and no matter — I wouldn’t give up living on the beach for anything… but this was a taste of a different kind of college experience.. cool that my little brothers are enjoying it…..

That is awesome, a great win for Rutgers, and I am glad you were able to witness it in person.
I was there for the Louisville game with Gallo last year. If you’re not aware of the significance, it was the biggest win in school history, in their best season to date. Rutgers was a joke for many years, despite being one of the oldest football programs in the country, and last year they became a national power for the first time in ages.
Louisville was ranked #3 and Rutgers trailed them for most of the game, but came back and kicked a field goal with 15 seconds left.
It was one of the most exciting games I have ever witnessed in person, and we stormed the field along with the record 44,000+ crowd.
